As an FBI Channeling agency, ScreenID transmits digitized electronic fingerprint records to the FBI in Electronic Fingerprint Transmission Specification (EFTS) formats. The FBI then compares those fingerprints to the ones stored in the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS) database of known criminal fingerprints. ScreenID then receives back the results electronically and provides the results back to the client via our secure web portal.
